This chart combines responses to three questions to create an interactive scatter plot. This chart presents the average results based on all respondents. You can hover over the chart to reveal more information on each circle. The chart is structured as follows:

  • X-axis is the response to the question “Please score the relative importance of each action, in terms of shaping the future of Keene, and helping implement the goals of the Comprehensive Master Plan.” (Scale: 1 = Not that important; to 5 = Extremely important)
  • Y-axis is the response to the question “Please score the proposed actions, based on your sense of urgency to address and implement each action.” (Scale: 1 = Not very urgent; 5 = Very urgent)

Key things to note:

  • It is clear from this chart that the most important, urgent and bold action for this pillar is to incentivize the adaptive reuse of existing buildings in coordination with the actions outlined in the pillars of Livable Housing, Thriving, Economy, and Vibrant Communities. This is followed by four closely clustered actions: Identify priority infill or redevelopment sites through special analysis; Work with partners to support and expand incentive programs for existing buildings to upfit for weatherization, energy efficiency, and renewable energy generation; Support the Connected Mobility Pillar of enhancing Keene’s active transportation options by closing gaps in walking and biking networks; and, Identify and incorporate the latest technologies and best practices to improve wastewater treatment.
